Det moderna självförverkligandet – och alternativet

Jag håller inte med författaren i kopplingen konsumism/individualism. Och därmed ej heller kopplingen samhälle/familj/identitet.
Jesus kallade lärjungarna individuellt. De följde honom en och en. Rådet till den rike ynglingen var till honom - individuellt. Han botade någon gång en blind på ett sätt en annan gång på ett annat sätt. Hela tiden individuellt. INTE en enda gång botade han en grupp av människor. Inte en enda gång undervisade han om familj och samhälle.
Tvärtom blev de kallade ut ur sina sammanhang in i oerhört radikala livsomständigheter. Utan ATP eller försäkringar kallades de ut att tjäna Honom som de trodde på. De gick i tro.
Detta som författaren tar upp är ett samhällsfenomen ytterst välkänt om hur individualiseringen i samhället påverkat oss till en större valfrihet där vi också kan välja och frånsäga oss (nödvändig) fostran och bara ta emot de bitar vi vill och därmed forma egna "Gudsbilder". Detta är liksom en konsumism. Man äter lite av bordet där och lite av bordet där och en hel del kan man konsumera via ny teknik. Ja, det är en slags konsumism.
Men om Gud får gripa tag i all denna längtan som finns i individuellt sökande så finns det ändå i summan av dessa ett helt samhälle som behöver vända sig till Jesus.
